Welcome to our sanctuary in the woods.

a space for meditation, reflection and forest bathing.

The forest labyrinth and meditation grounds were designed as a sacred space of which I believe offer deep healing, grounding in nature, and a spiritual opportunity to encounter both the divine and inner wisdom.   The benefits of walking a labyrinth are vast and provide each individual a unique experience.   The symbolic approaches to walking the path see it as a metaphor for the journey of life.  Our 12 circuit, Chartres inspired labyrinth, has many winds and turns, yet is always a single pathway, unlike a maze.  When followed, the act of placing one foot in front the other, brings comforts the soul, stillness to the mind and provides support when life in fact feels confusing, yet indeed we are reassured that we can find our way through.

Walkers should plan for a minimum of 20 minutes to walk the 12 circuit path, with the process outlined in greater detail below. Private groups and special interest gatherings are welcomed and may enjoy the space privately or with a guided introduction or support. Healing benefits may include: grief support, spiritual and religious based journeys, mindfulness based stress reduction, and earth based energy healing. Offered to the community as a place to retreat and find inner peace, this space is available for groups or individuals to enjoy by donations which are given to local charities that support women and children. Life is a journey with many turns and trails; as stated best by Saint Augustine “It is solved by walking”. Please schedule time to come, bathe in the forest sanctuary and walk.

With your on the journey,

Nadine

“Walking a labyrinth clears the mind and gives insight into the spiritual journey. It urges action. It calms people in the throes of life transitions. It helps them see their livesin the context of a path, a pilgrimage. They realize that they are not human beings on a spiritual path, but spiritual beings on a human path.

About Walking the Labyrinth:

About walking the path:

The labyrinth is a continuous path, not a maze or a puzzle. The inherent hope built into the labyrinth is that there are no false turns as there are in a maze, but that by putting one foot in front of the other we will get through.

While a maze is designed to make you lose your way, a labyrinth is designed to help you find your way.

The challenge in walking a labyrinth is to let go of trying to see ahead and simply follow the path. It is a process of letting go—an element of most forms of meditation. When we relinquish control, we often feel open to new insights or new answers to questions.

Arranging to Visit and Cost:

Cost: The labyrinth is shared as a gift to others, seeking sanctuary. Therefore, the labyrinth and forest mediation space are by donation shared with charitable causes that benefits women and/or children. Your generosity, in exchange for the time and experience is appreciated. I hope that in the stillness of the forest and path of the labyrinth refreshes your soul, restores your sense of inner balance and brings peace to your heart and clarity to your mind.

The directions are simple; There is only one path to follow in and then back out. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth is not intended to confuse you, so you cannot get lost in it. You will need to allow 15-20 minutes to complete the journey in and back out. “ARRIVING” you walk in, on a winding journey with turns, you make your way toward center. Upon reaching “CENTER”, you may pause as long as you like and reflect. Then you “RETURN”, taking the same path out of the labyrinth. You may sit in the forest, journal, sing, chant and meditate as long as you need, but please do not wander the woods.

Guided Experiences: You may join regularly scheduled events or book a private experience for your group, in which I will curate a discussion or experience to meet your needs. Using the labyrinth for a spiritual group retreat, grief support groups, mental health groups as well as enthusiasts and others, are encouraged. Please contact the studio to discuss options.

Appointments Necessary: I ask that you contact me in some manner prior to entering… as this is located on secured, private property. If sharing the experience as a group, please honor the silence of those around you and refrain from comments or questions until after you have departed. Silence is so rare, that we need to ensure that it is honored and preserved during this time.
